Beaver Falls, PA - During the transition of sport seasons excitement is in the air for both the spring student-athletes preparing to start their season combined with an exciting time to look back on the previous fall season and honor those student-athletes that have performed to the platform of excellence in Division III competition. Geneva College is always proud to be able to commemorate those student-athletes who achieve success while striving to work for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23).

The cross country and track and field programs have built a strong reputation of diligence over recent years. Last spring (2012), Liz Michalak was honored as the track and field program′s first Division III All-Academic student-athlete. This week, senior cross country student-athlete Nick Edinger was honored by the U.S. Track& Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for his excellence in athletics and in academics. Edinger received the Division III All-Academic award for cross country in his ability to obtain both a 3.3 cumulative GPA and finish top-35 at Division III Regionals. Along with this individual honor, both men and women′s cross country teams had at least an average of a 3.1 accumulative GPA taking the honor of All-Academic Teams.
