Representatives from Geneva College's Master of Arts in Counseling program will host three information sessions on campus during the spring semester: Wednesday, February 20; Thursday, March 14; and Tuesday, April 9. All sessions will be held from 5-6 p.m. in Room 217 of Northwood Hall.

The sessions will cover a variety of topics related to Geneva's graduate counseling program including: course format, applying for admission, financial aid, class locations, specialization areas and more. Participants will also have the opportunity to sit in a counseling class before or after the session.

Geneva′s counseling program has three specialized areas: Marriage and Family, Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. The program offers the professional preparation needed to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) under the accreditation standards of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

In addition to conducting courses on Geneva′s main campus in Beaver Falls, PA, the college now offers all formats and timeframes of the Master of Arts in Counseling degree at the Regional Learning Alliance (RLA) in Cranberry Township. The Regional Learning Alliance has been called the Greater Pittsburgh area′s premier learning center and the nation′s largest collaborative campus. The LEED-certified green building, located in Cranberry Woods, offers college students the best of a traditional college campus, with the modern amenities of a first-class executive training center.

Also, the graduate counseling program recently lifted the student enrollment cap. Previously, only 20 spaces in the program were available. Now, Geneva′s program is serving a greater number of students interested in becoming professional counselors.
