Ft. Pierce, FL - The Geneva baseball team is returning home happy after finding their fourth win for the season over Hilbert College with a 6-3 decision. With the morning′s win the men will return with an overall record of 4-6. After having outstanding pitching performances on Saturday but finishing with double header losses due to offensive mishaps, Geneva adds up the runs to six against Hilbert, five of which being runs batted in (RBI).

Wingard, Mike Jeffreys and Santana all found a RBI a piece while freshman Aaron Witman batted in two. The Golden Tornadoes averaged a .342 batting percentage, enough for the offense and defense mix with only one error to find the victory.

The pitching continued to be impressive as games past have shown to be. After allotting three runs to find home plate in the first three innings, freshmen Macdonald and Nichols would enter the game cutting off any run opportunities for Hilbert to continue to raise their score. Macdonald only allowed one hit while Nichols only allowed two for the remaining of the game.

The Golden Tornadoes fly back north as the rest of campus returns from spring break. Saturday March 16th Geneva will host Fredonia State for their home opener in a double header at 1pm and 3pm.
