Ft. Pierce, FL - Nobody will accuse the Geneva College baseball team of an inability to rebound after a loss. For the third time in four days, the Golden Tornadoes rallied for a victory in game two of a doubleheader to earn a split. On Tuesday, Geneva dropped game one to Muhlenburg by the score of 11-2. The Golden Tornadoes came back to take game two by the score of 6-4. Geneva finished the day with an overall record of 3-3.

Geneva took the night cap behind a six inning pitching effort of Mike Jeffreys. Jeffreys allowed just two earned runs on four hits while striking out 11 and walking just one batter to earn his first win of the season. T.J. Lambert led Geneva′s eight hit attack with a pair of knocks and two runs batted in. Zach Ackerman also picked up a pair of hits for Geneva.

Game one was all Muhlenburg as the Golden Tornadoes fell behind early and watched as Muhlenburg opened up the game in the final innings. Muhlenburg had 14 hits while Geneva came up with just six including a pair from Aaron Witman. Caleb Kilgore was hit with the loss after 4.2 innings of work and four earned runs allowed on seven hits.

Geneva′s schedule gets a bit lighter over the next few days as off days on Wednesday and Friday are sandwiched around a single game against Lebanon Valley on Thursday.
