Ft. Pierce, FL - The Geneva College baseball team couldn′t overcome some early defensive miscues against Lebanon Valley on Thursday in a 7-3 loss. The Golden Tornadoes dropped to 3-4 on the season following the single, 9-inning game at Ft. Pierce, FL.

Lebanon Valley opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first and eventually opened up a 5-0 lead through four innings. Lebanon Valley took advantage of five Geneva errors to post a pair of unearned runs early in the game. Geneva scored all three of its runs in the sixth inning when Mike Jeffreys launched a three-run homer to cut the lead to two runs. A pair of eighth inning runs for Lebanon Valley put the game away. The Golden Tornadoes finished with six hits including a pair from Garrett Swanson.
