Pittsburgh, PA - The Golden Tornadoes traveled into Pittsburgh for a 7 p.m. against 18th Nationally ranked Carnegie Mellon University for tonight′s men′s soccer game. Despite the even match up, CMU slid past Geneva with a 1-0 decision dropping the men′s overall record to 2-2-1.

The game remained scoreless until the last minute of the game. Geneva and CMU went back and forth, both teams creating opportunities to find the advantage. The first half Geneva took four shots and two corners kicks while the Tartans took ten shots and five corner kicks.

The battle continued with the Tartans finding six shots and 12 corner kicks. The Golden Tornadoes found seven shots and were allotted four corner kicks during the second half. Jeremy Troutman threatened Carnegie Mellon goalkeeper, Christopher Madden, but could not find the back of the net. The Tartans took full advantage of the last corner kick allotted to them. Tristan Lockwood collected the ball off the corner and one-timed it to Chris Wysocki for the game winning header. Geneva was unable to recover with only 48 seconds left on the clock.

Saturday the Golden Tornadoes will host Fredonia State for a 5 p.m. game at Geneva′s Merriman Athletic Complex.
