Washington, PA - The Golden Tornadoes stuck it out in order to not repeat last year against the W&J Presidents. Handing the Presidents a taste of their own medicine, Geneva clenched a 5-4 win over W&J raising their record 5-2, 3-2 in the PAC.

The matches started out putting Geneva in trouble; Geneva was only able to find one win from duo Brittany Kress and Courtney Light in doubles. Singles was another thing all together. Geneva and W&J battled out a nearly four hour match before able to announce a victor. Kress was a double winner with victories in both her double and single matches. Julie Kline clutched Geneva′s win a three game decision. Dropping the first 2-6, Kline answered with back to back wins 6-4, 10-3. Along with Kress and Kline, Christine Bullock and Megan Hinds contributed needed wins for the team.

Saturday Geneva will face both Thomas More at 12:30 p.m. and St. Vincent at 3:30 in Latrobe for a double round of conference play.
