Pittsburgh, PA - The Geneva Volleyball team traveled to Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to take part in the Doubletree Tournament Friday night. The Golden Tornadoes faced host school CMU for the second time this season, and suffered the same result losing in four games (25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20). The loss ended a five game win streak for Geneva, which started after the last time these teams faced. It would continue to be a tough night for the Golden Tornadoes as they went on to lose to the Otterbein Cardinals in three games (25-12, 25-17, 25-17).

Geneva′s Ashley Davis hit eighteen kills in the loss against Carnegie Mellon, while Deanna Briody collected 30 assists and two aces, and Gabrielle Dickson had 21 digs.

The pair of losses drops Geneva′s overall record to 9-4 while remaining 5-0 in conference play. The Golden Tornadoes will be back in action tomorrow at 11a.m. facing off against Case Western followed by John Carroll at 3 p.m.
