Geneva College′s annual Living in Color conference strives to equip leaders to serve in a diverse world by addressing topics of race, race relations, equality and injustices. The college will host the second annual conference on November 15 and 16, with events on Friday from 7-9p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-3:30p.m.
The conference will feature speakers Reverend Eugene Williams, President and CEO of T.R.A.I.L.S. Ministries, and Kathy Y. Kinzer-Downs, Director of Multicultural Student Services at Geneva College.
In addition to keynote presentations, a variety of interactive breakout sessions will be avaliable for participants to choose from, including: "Living for Christ in a Multiracial America: Bridging the Gap When Race Still Matters," "May the Church BE 'Good News'," "The Imperative for Inclusion in the 21st Century" and "Creating an Inclusive Environment."
Facilitators for breakout sessions include: Ricardo Tavárez, Director of Outreach for Madison Square Church; Michael Thornhill, Campus Minister at Point Park University; Marc de Jeu, Pastor of The SOMA Gathering; Dr. Bernardo Michael, Special Assistant to the President and Provost for Diversity Affairs at Messiah College; andDon Woo, Dean for Ethnic Diversity and Multicultural Programs at Trinity Christian College.
"I hope that participants will gain a greater sense of their identity found through their culture and heritage, as well as a greater understanding how diversity is a beautiful part of the Kingdom of God," said Kinzer-Downs, who established and organized the conference along with husband Lamont Downs, Multicultural Student Services Coordinator and Director of The Academy: Campus and Community Leadership Training.

Early Bird registration, which ends on October 14, is $30 for two days, $10 for Friday only and $20 for Saturday only. College students who register in this time period may attend the conference for free.
Regular registration, between October 15 and November 8, is $40 for two days, $15 for Friday only, $25 for Saturday only, and $10 for college students.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $45 for two days, $20 for Friday only, $30 for Saturday only, and $15 for college students.
