Grove City, PA - Geneva suffered their third consecutive conference game today at Grove City. The 3-1 loss drops their overall record to 4-9 overall, 1-3 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC).

Wolverine, Becky McManus, pressed through Geneva′s defense for the first Grove City goal, seven minutes into the game. Geneva′s defense kept busy, giving up five corner kicks in the first half. The Golden Tornado offensive had limited opportunities in the first half. Before the half was over, Grove City managed to find the net again for a 2-0 halftime score.

Ten minutes into the second half, McManus scored her second goal of the game for a three-goal lead for the Wolverines. Off Grove City′s seventh corner kick of the game, the Golden Tornadoes counter attacked, moving the ball to the other side of the field for a Kimmi Orihel goal, assisted by Heidi Mann.

Anna McMullen returned to defend the net for the Golden Tornadoes. McMullen collected nine saves against the Wolverines.

Geneva continues conference play at Westminster on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
