Chi_sigma_iota_logo.jpgGeneva College′s Master of Arts in Counseling program is pleased to announce its qualification as a member of Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society of professional counseling and for professional counselors.

The Chi Sigma Iota Chapter Initiation Ceremony to be held on the evening of February 6, 2014, will celebrate the formation of the chapter as well as induction of approximately 40 alumni and current students as members into the Geneva College Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota.

"It is a great honor for Geneva College to be chosen to have a Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. This event on will be a special night for our department, alumni, and current students," said Beth Ann Stein, with the M.A. in Counseling program.

The Chi Sigma Iota honor society, established in 1985, values academic and professional excellence in counseling and provides recognition for outstanding achievement as well as outstanding service within the profession. This growing organization currently has over 90,000 initiated members with more than 350 chartered chapters worldwide who are committed to meeting national accreditation preparation standards for professional counseling.
