CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY -Geneva′s unexpected run through the Presidents′ Athletic Conference playoffs ended with an 87-65 loss at Thomas More tonight. The ninth-seeded Golden Tornadoes, now 7-21, had pulled off unexpected wins at 8th seeded Westminster and top-seeded Bethany but second-seeded Thomas More (15-11) ended the run. After losing 16 straight, Geneva entered tha game on a three-game winning streak.

SeniorJordan Harbison (Portersville Christian School) got Geneva started on the right track with a three-pointer to start the game. His second gave the Golden Tornadoes a 7-6 lead but the Saints took the lead with 14:22 left in the first half and never gave it up. Harbison finished with 17 points.

"We got some stops early but they shot so well from the perimeter we couldn′t keep up," said Geneva coach Jeff Santarsiero. "We cut into the lead in the first half but made some turnovers and they got the lead back up.

"Thomas More shot incredibly well and played better than us. I think we were a little tired, too, and the pace of the last week caught up with us."

In addition to Harbison, Geneva got 12 points each from juniorTyler Damazo (Blackhawk) and freshman Chaese Vaudrin (Uniontown, OH).

"I think what people will remember from this season is the last two weeks," Santarsiero said. "I told the team that the feeling we had after beating Bethany is something they′ll never forget. I know I won′t."
