Beaver Falls, PA - Behind Heidi Mann′s second straight 20-point plus game, Geneva won back-to-back games for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Mann scored 22 against Chatham after scoring 24 in the Golden Tornadoes′ win at Bethany. Geneva improved to 3-15, 2-10.

In Geneva′s perfect week, Mann, a sophomore from Evangelical Christian Academy, Colorado has been near perfect, making 17 of 23 field goals (73.9%). She was joined in double figures against Chatham by three freshmen - Nicole Hyland (Penn-Trafford) with 14, Marissa Heaney (Union) with 11 and her twin sister Miranda with 10.

"It was a great win, we got contributions across the board," said Geneva coach Lori Wynn. "To get back-to-back wins is huge. Everybody really played well and we had the edge in rebounding, which was huge for us."

Geneva had a 37-33 edge in rebounding as three players grabbed nine each - Hyland, Mann and senior Samantha Fisher (Hopewell). It was a season high for Mann while the other two have reached double figures in the past.

Chatham (3-16, 2-10) led for most of the first half with Geneva finally tying the score at 45 on a Mann bucket with 16:11 left in the game. Hyland′s basket with 14:00 left gave Geneva the lead for good at 49-47 and the lead reached as high as 11 in the final minutes.

"Chatham shot really well in the first half and we talked about defensive pressure at halftime," Wynn said. "We made it a priority in the second half and getting some stops gave us momentum."

Chatham shot 53.6% in the first half (15 of 28) but Geneva cut that in half in the second half - to 27.6% (8 of 29).

Geneva returns to action Wednesday night against undefeated and fifth-ranked Thomas More at 5:30.
