Geneva men′s soccer explodes for eight second half goals in win

gcms100.jpgSteubenville, OH- The Geneva College men′s soccer team reached halftime in its game with Franciscan in a scoreless tie but changed that quickly, exploding for eight second half goals in an 8-2 win.

"We have a bunch of talented players," said Geneva coach Gary Dunda. "When we put it all together we can be good and it was good to get a win on the road."

Now 2-0-1, Geneva got a goal and an assist from Gib McCracken and Abel Carleton, freshmen who took Beaver County Christian School to the WPIAL championship game last year.

The Golden Tornadoes also got two goals each by P.J. Luksik (Bishop McCort HS) and Brandon Crider (Shalom Christian Academy).

Geneva continues its season Saturday, hosting Allegheny at 7 p.m.
