Geneva tennis earns fourth win

Geneva tennis earns fourth win; 1-0 in Presidents′ Athletic Conference

Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva tennis earned its fourth win of the season over Thiel in the opening of conference play resulting in a 4-1 overall record.

"Today′s match was a satisfying start to our PAC season. Our doubles teams have come together nicely, and it was especially encouraging to have a clean sweep of the singles matches" said head coach Mandee Craft.

In the win, doubles teams Stewart/Jensen defeats Tomcat opponent 8-5, Stoll/Hinds won 8-3. The "clean sweep" in singles includes Stewart (6-1, 6-2), Stoll (6-3), Jensen (6-2, 6-2), Hinds (6-3, 6-0), Bullock (6-2, 3-6, 1-0), and Kinney (6-4, 6-3).

The Golden Tornadoes are back in action at home on Friday, September 12 at 4 p.m. against Waynesburg University.
