Geneva Tennis Finishes 5th at PAC Championships

Tennis_Sportsmanship2014.jpgErie, PA- Geneva Tennis finished fifth after the weekend Presidents′ Athletic Conference Championships in Erie.

"It′s always gratifying to end the season playing well," said head coach Mandee Craft. "We finished above two teams who beat us in dual matches this season."

"I′m proud of the way we played and competed this weekend."

Samantha Jensen (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) finished fourth in third singles bracket.

Megan Hinds (Montrose, PA/Montrose) finished in third place in the fourth singles bracket due to a walkover (personal emergency) by her opponent.

Doubles team Hinds and Sara Stoll (Norwalk, OH/Norwalk) finished fourth in the second doubles bracket.

In addition to the team′s fifth place finish Geneva was awarded the Sportsmanship Award.

"The biggest highlight of any season is to be honored with the Sportsmanship Award by our competitors, so I couldn′t be happier."
