gcvball914024.jpgBeaver Falls, PA- Geneva finalized a three game match over Westminster with the final set decisions of 25-21, 29-27, 25-18. The win over the all-time rival raises Geneva′s overall record to 14-7, 7-2 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference (PAC).

"It was tough to play Westminster only six days after our last match against them. The Westminster Coaching staff made a couple of nice adjustments over the last week that made them tough to play," said co-head coach Curt Conser.

Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton) finished the match with 19 kills supported by Olivia Test (Negley, OH/Heartland Christian) with 15.

"We had a couple of people really step up tonight. Olivia really took over during the second set which really paid off."

Alexis Ritson (Irwin, PA/Hempfield) lead the GTs in digs with 16, teammate Rachel Netherland right behind her with 15.

The upcoming game schedule allows the GTs to enjoy the next four matches at home starting with a match on Friday, hosting the Thomas More Saints at 7 p.m. Wednesday October 15, Geneva hosts Juniata at 7 p.m. Geneva then hosts Grove City for a pink out game on Thursday October 16 at 7 p.m. followed by a match against Bethany College at 7 p.m. on Saturday October 18.
