Top finishers lift men’s Indoor Track & Field to a team third place finish

Beaver Falls, PA – The men’s Indoor Track and Field Team traveled to Oberlin College on Friday and finished in third place as a team.

Head coach Phil Thompson commented, “The team had another solid performance. Everyone has been working hard and it's showing on the track and in the field.”

Geneva finished the meet with four first place finishes. The first places winners were Josh Guiser (Newell, PA / Frazier) in the 60 meter race (7.09), Jacob Mellinger (Leetonia, OH / Crestview) in the 200 meter (23.05), Dalton Paxson (Rochester, PA /Rochester) in the 60 meter hurdles (8.76), and Alex Kennedy (Titusville, PA / Titusville) in the triple jump event (12.16 meters).

In addition, Ken Kutcel (Medina, OH / Medina) took third in the 800 meter (2:10.50) as did Isaac Barringer in the shot put (12.64).

As a unit Guiser, Aaron Tedys (Riverside, PA / Riverside), Paxson, and Mellinger took third in the 4x400 meter relay (3:34.03).

Friday, February 13 the squad will travel once more to Baldwin Wallace before competing in the PAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
