Geneva Men Roll Over Grove City, Thiel, W&J with Fifth Place Finish at Baldwin Wallace

Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva’s men indoor track and field team finished fifth on Friday at Baldwin Wallace rolling over Presidents’ Athletic Conference opponents Grove City, Thiel, and Washington & Jefferson with a total of 57.50 points.

On the track, Jacob Mellinger (Leetonia, OH / Crestview) took first (51.34) in the 400 meter followed by Aaron Tedys (Riverside, PA / Riverside) in second (51.71).

Tedys also clinched a third place finish in the 200 meter race for six more points with a 23.52 finish.

Clay Smith (Williamsport, MD / Williamsport) finished first in the 1000 meter race (2:L42.30) grabbing ten more points for the Golden Tornadoes.

In the field, Triple Jumper Alex Kennedy (Titusville, PA / Titusville) earned five points for the team in a fourth place finish.

Isaac Barringer (Delta, OH / Toledo Christian) finished fourth in the shot put with a 13.19 meter throw.

The team is off until Thursday, February 26 when they compete in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship Indoor Meet.
