Geneva offers social media feature to celebrate community members

Picture of Geneva offers social media feature to celebrate community members

Kudos TuesdaysIt’s no surprise: social media can be used for good or it can be used for bad. At Geneva, the decision is to use the institution’s official Facebook and Twitter platforms to help celebrate what is good about the college, particularly its people.

“Who deserves kudos?” is the question. And on Kudos Tuesdays, Facebook and Twitter users will be able to answer with their own shout-out on Geneva’s official platforms to those who are worthy of accolades.

Do you know a student who is quietly overcoming learning obstacles? A parent who is working a second job to help put his child’s tuition? A professor who takes time to pray with a group of students after class? A dining hall worker who has a smile just when you need it most? A student-athlete who is meeting her goals?

You can post your notes to recognize someone who deserves it on Kudos Tuesdays by going to www.facebook.com/genevacollege  and looking for the Kudos Tuesdays art so that you can post your note of celebration in the comment section, or tweeting to #kudostuesday. This new feature begins on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
