Fort Pierce, FL – Geneva dropped its double header games to Marywood University with 6-1, 3-2 finals. Marywood’s bat’s exploded in both games during its last time in the box.

During the day’s first game, Geneva tied up the game in the top of the sixth inning 1-1. Geneva then surrendered five hits to Marywood at the end of the sixth and couldn’t cross home plate in the seventh to close the gap. Junior pitcher Drew Nichols (New Wilmington, PA/Wilmington) took the loss.

In game two, Andy Santana (San Pedro de Marcoris, DR/Desert Christian) singled to second base batting in Zach Ackerman (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian) for the 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning. An extra inning was needed to break the tie.

“We had good pitching today but we just couldn’t get timely hitting,” said Head Coach Alan Sumner.

Tanner Propst (Chambersburg, PA/Cumberland Valley Christian) was charged with the loss in Geneva’s 3-2 second game loss.

Wednesday March 11, Geneva will face Hilbert College in a doubleheader starting at 9 a.m.
