Waynesburg, PA – The Golden Tornadoes traveled to Waynesburg for a single nine inning game only to be upset 11-0. The loss lowers Geneva’s overall record to 7-8, 1-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

“It was a tough loss,” said Head Coach Alan Sumner.

“We faced one of the best pitchers in our conference and never really got on track.”

Geneva was only able to earn two hits while Waynesburg racked up eleven.

Geneva’s pair of hits came from Aaron Witman’s (Greencastle, PA/Shalom Christian Academy) single to shortstop in the fourth and JC Ackerman’s (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian) single to leftfield in the fifth.

GT’s pitcher Ian Macdonald (Grantham, PA/West Shore Christian Academy) was charged with the loss.
