National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III week will be held from April 6-11 in 2015. All week, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Student-athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be competing against the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in a change wars battle with proceeds going to The Cure Starts Now Cancer Research Foundation.

The Cure Starts Now Cancer Research Foundation has benefited from Layup for Lauren; the basketball avenue the foundation had the opportunity to raise funds thanks to the strong young lady, Lauren Hill, a member of the Mount St. Joseph University (Cincinnati, OH) basketball team who is battling DIPG, a form of brain cancer.

The Golden Tornadoes will look to get the most from a penny in the PAC Division III Change Wars as they attempt to collect the more change that other schools in the PAC as the PAC competes with the NCAC to who can collect the most. The competition within a competition will benefit The Starts Now Cancer Research Foundation as Division III Week celebrates student-athletes.

Division III week is a positive opportunity for Geneva and the league to show pride in Division III athletics with the rest of the nation.

On Friday, April 10 Geneva’s SAAC members will be holding a Spirit Day. The entire campus is asked to show off their Geneva pride and bring out their Golden Tornadoes apparel. Prizes will be awarded to those with the best outfit at the baseball game that will be played that afternoon.
