Geneva Baseball unable to answer Strong Thiel Offense

gt baseball

Beaver Falls, PA – The Golden Tornadoes were unable to dig themselves out of the early deficits that the Thiel Tomcats created throughout the afternoon in their doubleheader.

Geneva dropped the first game 16-2 after 6 innings. Once again the GT’s struggled with their bullpen as they were unable to create an answer for the strong offense they faced.

Geneva’s lone two runs would come off  RBIs by Andy Santana (San Pedro de Marcoris, DR/Desert Christian) and Shane Wingard (Clarksburg, PA/Apollo Ridge)

Geneva would combine for 10 hits total for the day after dropping the second game 9-0 again struggling to have an answer to Thiel’s offense with their bullpen. With the sweep, Theil goes 10-5 in the conference and remains third overall in the PAC.

“Unfortunately Thield picked up where they left off yesterday. Proud of our team for playing hard all day. Hopefully we can get things straightened out Tuesday when we play Bethany.” Coach Alan Sumner

Geneva Baseball will return at Home on Tuesday April 14th at 2 and 4 against Bethany.
