Long 10 Inning Battle Ends in a Loss

Beaver Falls, PA – After a long hard fought game on both sides the Geneva baseball team loses to St. Vincent 7-6 after 10 innings.

The Tornadoes started out strong with a 4-0 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd. St. Vincent would come back strong to make it a close game. The game would go back and forth before St. Vincent would finish out the game 7-6.

Geneva would combine for 14 hits on the game and no errors. Ryan McGonigle (Vandergrift, PA/Apollo Ridge) had 3 RBIs and Tyler Damazo (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) had 2.

“Great baseball game that went back and forth. Unfortunately we ended up on the wrong side at the end. Our guys battled the entire time.” said coach Alan Sumner

The Golden Tornadoes will host St. Vincent again tomorrow at 1pm and 3pm.
