Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva College announces its football schedule for the upcoming season and it features an entire slate of old rivalries. Every team Geneva will play has a series dating back to 1976, except for Thomas More.

The Golden Tornadoes, which began play with the nickname of the Covenanters, have been playing football since the 1890 season and will be playing colleges they have played a total of 460 times already. Geneva will be looking to build on a 3-7 season last year that saw more freshmen used than ever before in the 125 year history.

The Golden Tornadoes will open at home on September 5 against Frostburg State (MD), the 25th time the teams have met. Games will follow at Grove City and then Waynesburg and Carnegie-Mellon at home with the CMU game on 9/26 being homecoming.

The Golden Tornadoes will have their only bye week of the season on October 3, followed by games at Thomas More, hosting Case Western Reserve, at Bethany, hosting Washington & Jefferson, and then closing the season on the road at St. Vincent and Westminster. The season finale at Westminster on November 14 will be the 118th meeting between the teams.
