Men Shine for Geneva at PAC Championship Meet

Beaver Falls, Pa- The Men's Track and Field Team traveled to Grove City College finishing fifth overall for the PAC Championship Meet April 24 and 25. 

The first place relay finish gave Ryan White (New Brighton, PA / New Brighton), Cameron Unrath (Wexford, PA/ Pine Richland), Aaron Tedys (Riverside, PA/ Riverside), and Josh Guiser (Newell, PA / Frazier) the new school and stadium record of 42.31. The 4x400 relay Aaron Tedys, Josh Guiser, White, and Jacob Mellinger (Leetonia, OH / Crestview) also ran for the gold.    

Freshman Aaron Tedys ran to a fourth place finish in the 400 meter dash. Freshman Clay Smith(Williamsport, MD/ Williamsport) ran for the bronze in the 3,000 steeplechase. Sophomores Cameron Unrath ran fourth in the 100 meter dash and Dalton Paxon (Rochester, PA) ran to a silver medal in the 110 meter hurdles. Jacob Mellinger placed fourth in the 200 and ran for the bronze in 400m.

Sophomore Jacob LaGorga (North HUntington, PA/ Norwin) vaulted silver in the men's pole vault. Sophomore Isaac Barringer (Delta OH/ Toledo Christian) threw for a bronze in the shot put and silver in the discus throw. Jordan Rupert (Greenville, PA/ Greenville) represented the upperclassmen by throwing to a silver medal in the Javelin Throw qualifying him for the ECAC Meet.

“This was a great day for the Men's team. I am so proud of how they performed at the biggest meet of the year. We had some big performances out there today. The men's 4x1 and 4x4 took 1st with great times.  Dalton had a great time in the hurdles to finish 2nd. Jordan, Isaac, and Jake took care of the field events and got us a lot of points. This has been a great season and they should be proud of everything that they accomplished this year.” said Coach Phil Thompson
