Womens Track and Field finds podium at PAC Championships

Beaver Falls, Pa- The women's track team traveled to Grove City College finishing sixth overall for the 2015 outdoor Track and Field PAC Championship Meet Friday and Saturday April 24 and 25.

Freshman Havilah Gaugler (Emsworth, Pa/ Avonworth) had a fourth place finish in the 1500 meter run. Senior Anna Wargo (Avonworth, PA/ Avonworth) also ran to a fifth place in the 3,000 meter Steeple Chase. Jess Kelosky ran for the silver in the 100m setting a school record of 12.54 seconds, qualifying her for the ECAC Meet. She also ran fourth in the 200m. Nivole Bartletta (Monaca, PA / Central Valley) ran for a fourth place finish in 100m hurdles.

Senior Sara Williams (Wellsboro, PA/ New Covenant Academy) threw fifth overall in the Shot Put event. Freshman Christina Noble (New Castle, PA/ Mohawk) threw for a silver medal in the Javelin throw followed by sohphomore Sarah Foy threw fifth in the shot and eight in discus.

“The women's team had a great PAC Meet. I am so proud of how they performed today. They really showed up and competed at a high level. Jess Kelosky ran a great race in the 100 to finish 2nd with a fast time of 12.54 seconds. With that time she broke the school record and qualified for ECACs. Christina Noble had a big throw in the Javelin to finish 2nd and score 8 points for the team. It was a great day for the women's team. This has been a great season and they should be proud of everything that they accomplished this year.” said Coach Phil Thompson.
