Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva Baseball dropped both games today in the Route 18 Rivalry double header against Westminster College losing 9-3 and 5-2.

In Game one, Tyler Damazo (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) would go 2-4 hitting a single RBI and coming in for a run for the GTs as the defense struggled to match Westminster’s offensive momentum.

Game two had a similar feel as the Tornadoes offense would begin to pick up without the follow through of the defense. Two single RBIs by Matt Chubb (Absecon, NJ/The Pilgrim Academy) and Anthony Monteparte (Latrobe, PA/Latrobe) added some life to offensive line ups but could not match Westminster’s five runs to win the game.

“Tough Day for us. Did some good things on offense but our defense really struggled today.” said Coach Alan Sumner

The Golden Tornadoes travel to Bethany College on Monday, April 27 at 4:30 p.m. to take on the Bison.
