Golden Tornadoes Represent Geneva at ECAC Track & Field Championships

Beaver Falls, PA – Starting on Thursday, May 14 through Friday evening in Springfield, Massachusetts, Golden Tornadoes student-athletes represented Geneva at the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference track and field Championships.

Four male Golden Tornadoes had outstanding performances reaching top 20th finishes. Dalton Paxson Rochester, PA / Rochester) earned a 15th place finish in the 110 meter hurdles (15.57), Aaron Tedys (Riverside, PA / Riverside) finished 16th in the 400 meter dash (49.57), while Cameron Unrath (Wexford, PA / Pine Richland) and Josh Guiser (Newell, PA / Frazier) finished side by side for 18th and 19th place finishes in the 100 meter dash; Unrath finished in 11.10 seconds while Guiser finished with a time of 11.11.

“We had some strong performances at the ECAC Meet,” said Head Coach Phil Thompson.

“Aaron Tedys had the best day with a 16th place finish in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 49.57, which is an all-time best for him. Aaron had a great race at ECACs and I'm excited to see what he can accomplish in the next three years.”

In women’s action, Christina Noble (New Castle, PA / Union) earned a top ten finish at nine in the Javelin (38.08 meters).

Jessica Kelosky (Fombell, PA / Riverside) reset the school record in the 100 meter dash with a 19th place finish in 12.52 seconds.

“Christina and Jess had great performances at ECAC Meet. I am very pleased with what these two accomplished at the ECAC meet.”

“Christina had a huge day and missed getting a medal by one place.”

“Jess broke the school record in the 100 meter dash.”

“The next three years will be exciting to see what these two women will accomplish after what was a terrific freshman campaign.”
