The Wednesday, June 17 episode of WORLD Radio’s The World and Everything in It (TW&E) has been posted to Geneva College’s website at http://www.geneva.edu/faith/the-world. This week’s midweek edition of the show includes such top news headlines as a massive IRS data breach, closed-doors testimonial on Benghazi from former Hillary Clinton advisor Sidney Blumenthal and this year’s annual Southern Baptist Convention. In business news WORLD’s Mary Reichard reports on a recent hike in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

In the “White House Wednesday” portion of the program WORLD’s chief political correspondent Kent Covington and TW&E Co-Host Nick Eicher discuss campaign announcements from former governor Jeb Bush and billionaire business magnate Donald Trump. Covington also comments on why former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton re-launched her campaign despite having made an announcement in April.

WORLD’s Warren Smith concludes the program with a conversation with Fox News host and former Miss America Gretchen Carlson. Gretchen talks about her career as not only a television personality but also as a virtuoso violinist and committed Christian. She talks about growing up as the daughter and granddaughter of a respected Lutheran pastor and having to make decisions about how to use her talents. A reporter, Carlson’s job is to question everything, but says that her faith in Christ is “the one thing that just is.” Her new memoir, released this week, is titled Getting Real.
