The Wednesday, August 26, 2015 episode of WORLD Radio’s The World and Everything in It has been posted to Geneva College’s website at http://www.geneva.edu/faith/the-world. The midweek edition of the show contains today’s news and a political discussion about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s popularity, plus an interview with Christian Apologist and author Frank Turek.

Today’s headlines include troubles for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton over her use of unsecured private email server, the Department of Justice’s announcement that it has disturbing new evidence in its case against NJ Senator Bob Menendez (D), and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals placing a hold on its ruling against the Little Sisters of the Poor for failing to provide contraceptives to employees pending the organization’s appeal to the Supreme Court.

In the White House Wednesday portion of the program, WORLD Radio’s chief political correspondent Kent Covington discusses the reasons Trump is resonating with many average Americans. According to Covington, Trump acts as a stand-in for the anger and frustration that many people feel toward Washington. The segment also examines Trump’s stand on a number of important issues.

The interview with Turek features a discussion of his most recent book, Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need God to make their Case. Turek’s thesis is that atheists must steal reason, evidence, science and other arguments that originate from God in trying to make a case for atheism.

To end the program, financial author Austin Pryor provides tips for keeping cool when the stock market tank.
