PAC Releases Football Preseason Poll Following League’s Media Day

Latrobe, PA – Following a disappointing 3-7 finish last season, voters at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference preseason poll aren’t expecting a big rebound from the Geneva College football team.

The Golden Tornadoes were picked to finish 9th in the 11-team conference in polling done during Media Day at St. Vincent. Ironically, Geneva will play neither of the teams picked to finish behind them (Thiel and Grove City) in a conference game – the game with Grove City on September 12 is designated as a non-conference game because of the unbalanced schedule.

Washington & Jefferson was picked to finish first, followed, in order, by Thomas More, Bethany, Waynesburg, St. Vincent, Westminster, Case Western Reserve, and Carnegie Mellon, Geneva, Thiel, and Grove City.

Geneva will open its season on September 5 with a home game against Frostburg State.
