Today’s headlines include the shooting death of 30-year veteran police officer Joseph Gliniewicz, the classified nature of Hillary Clinton’s newly released email communications, an investigation into the IRS sharing private taxpayer information with the White House, a confrontation with the Kentucky Court clerk who continues to refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and Hungary’s crackdown on Middle Eastern migrants

In the White House Wednesday portion of the program, WORLD Radio’s chief political correspondent Kent Covington discusses criticism of the Democratic National Committee’s debate schedule and last-minute revisions to CNN’s criteria for inviting candidates.  He also comments on the dramatic shifts in presidential power rankings with Senator Bernie Sanders’s gains on Clinton as she experiences downward trends in national polls and the current state of the crowded GOP race.

For the back-to-school segment, special correspondent Susan Olasky covers students leaning the importance of perseverance on the football field. A football team at a small Christian school in Mississippi and a Christian summer music camp in Alabama are featured.

To end the program, World Publication founder Joel Belz discusses the dichotomy between fiscal and social conservativism.
