Mentoring Project Provides Opportunity to Learn and Grow

Register for The Mentoring Project

Register for The Mentoring ProjectGeneva College urges students, faculty and staff to become a part of the Mentoring Project.  This is an initiative that seeks to connect groups of two to four students with a faculty or staff mentor for weekly fellowship and learning opportunities.

The Mentoring Project provides an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and creates an atmosphere for students to grow alongside mentors. Those involved in the Mentoring Project meet once a week for about an hour. Discussions are on whatever topics that meet the needs of the group members.

Students and staff can sign up online through the Center for Student Engagement’s Web page under the Leadership Development tab.

Sara Bauer, Graduate Assistance of Student Leadership, said, “Our intention is to facilitate a connection between groups of two to four students with a mentor.  We want these relationships to be meaningful and hopefully transformational for students, as well as their mentor. We believe that mentoring can be glorifying to God and the community he intends for us.”

Geneva College invites students to step forward with an academically excellent, Christ-centered and affordable education. Offering nearly 40 undergraduate majors, Adult Degree Programs with fully online and campus-based options, and high-demand advanced graduate degrees, Geneva's programs are recognized for their high quality. U.S. News & World Report ranks Geneva as a Top 10 Best Value with one of the Top 100 engineering programs in the nation.
