The Wednesday, November 4, 2015 episode of WORLD Radio’s The World and Everything in It has been posted to Geneva College’s website at http://www.geneva.edu/faith/the-world. The midweek edition of the show includes top news headlines, a discussion about issues with the Republican debates on CNBC and a conversation with David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress.

In today’s top news, Pentagon sources say a U.S. infrared intelligence satellite picked up a heat flash over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula when a Russian jet airliner crashed on Saturday, October 31. Speculation on the source of the flash continues.

A leaked memo indicates that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plans to skirt court orders that have blocked President Obama’s amnesty initiative. The DHS appears to be preparing options to get around the court order that was issued after 26 states sued for violation of the Constitution.

In other news, HHS officials appeared on Capitol Hill to explain the reasons for failing Obamacare co-ops. Democrats claim that these private health insurance carriers that receive low-interest federal loans are not receiving enough funding. Republicans claim that people who don’t know who to run health insurance companies are running these organizations. Of the 23 nationwide co-ops, 11 have failed with seven closing within the last month.

In the White House Wednesday portion of the show, WORLD reports on the Republican debate process. The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the candidates claim that the CNBC debate moderators have been overly combative and condescending. In addition, the committee attests that the network has broken a number of promises that were made to Republicans regarding the debates. In response, the RNC says that it is suspending its relationship with CNBC.

WORLD also interviews David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress. Daleiden filmed and released a series of undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the harvesting of organs from children killed during abortion procedures.
