Crestview Hills, KY – The Bethany Bison defeated Geneva in Kentucky Friday night in a 3-1 final (17-25, 27-25, 17-25, 12-25). The four-set Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) semi-final match loss removes the Golden Tornadoes from tournament play leaving them with an overall record of 26-8 and 15-3 in the PAC.

The Golden Tornadoes combined for 41 kills and 86 digs.

“They served better than we could pass and passed better than we could serve,” said head coach Curt Conser. “Bethany really brought their “A” game. They are playing really well right now.”

Marissa Naples (Cortland, OH/Lakeview) had 11 kills on the night followed closely behind by sophomore Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton) who had ten kills.

McKala King (Uniontown, OH/Lake) and Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic) had big defensive nights recording 18 digs a piece.

“All their players showed up tonight,” said coach Conser.
