Five Volleyball Golden Tornadoes Honored as PAC All-Conference Selections

Beaver Falls, PA – Five volleyball Golden Tornadoes were selected to the All-Presidents Athletic Conference team. Geneva finished conference play second with a league record of 15-3, and a current record of 26-8.

Senior outside hitter Rachel Netherland (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) was selected as PAC first-team member for her work this season. Netherland racked up 207 kills (.220), 607 assists, 33 serve aces, 43 blocks and 232 digs.

Junior libero Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic), sophomore outside hitter Erica Hughes (North Jackson, Ohio/Jackson Milton), junior middle blocker Olivia Test (Negley, Ohio/Heartland Christian) all made all-conference second team.

Dickson earned 500 digs this season along with 48 serve aces.

Hughes led the team in kills with 322 (3.29). In addition, she contributing 29 blocks and 101 digs.

Test tallied 197 kills (1.91) while 1.03 blocks per set with a total of 106.

Sophomore middle hitter Marissa Naples (Cortland, Ohio/Lakeview) earned honorable mention.  Naples worked for 191 kills (1.87), 457 assists, 29 serve aces, 181 digs, and 51 blocks.

Geneva extends its season in the ECAC postseason against Lebanon Valley College Wednesday, November 11 at 7 p.m.
