Baltimore, MD – Freshman guard Jodie Carlson (Warsaw, IN/Warsaw) scored a career high 15 points on the road at Notre Dame of Maryland Tuesday night leading Geneva to a 68-59 win. The road win improves Geneva’s overall record to 4-3, remaining 2-0 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. The Golden Tornadoes are now on a three-game winning streak.

Geneva outscored the hosts both quarters of the first half but allowed the lead to shrink in the third. The Golden Tornadoes finished the game strong to secure the win.

“We held on and did what we needed to do to win,” said head coach Lori Wynn.

Carlson complemented her 15 points with seven rebounds.

Senior guard Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) also earned double digit points with 14, ten of which came from the foul line.

Junior guard Marissa Heaney (New Castle PA/Union) chipped in with nine points.

Freshman Callie Ford (New Middletown, OH/Springfield Local) led Geneva’s rebounding game with nine to go along with eight points.

Geneva returns to the road for a conference game at Bethany on Saturday, December 12.
