Cocoa and Connections provides opportunity for students to get involved

Cocoa and Connections

The Center for Student Engagement will be holding Cocoa and Connections, a spring version of Cokes and Connections, on Friday, January 22 in Skye Lounge from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is an activity fair aimed at students that are new to the Geneva community or are looking to fully take hold of their college experience.

At the event, students will be able to interact with representatives from campus clubs and offices while enjoying a cup of hot cocoa. A goal for the fair is to provide an opportunity for students to further engage in their campus during the long winter months.

“We wanted to have an activity fair at the start of the semester to help new transfer students connect at Geneva but also to provide the entire student body with an opportunity to learn about involvement at the start of a new semester,” said Missy Nyeholt, the Service Learning Coordinator for the CSE.

The event will include Geneva clubs, student development offices, and opportunities to connect to the community of beaver falls through service. It will not have representatives from outside the Geneva community present (like churches and non-profits) but there will be info about these things available.
