2+2 Program Established with Taiwan’s Christ’s College

Christ's College

Geneva College has a new agreement with Christ’s College in Taiwan—the 2+2 Program. Geneva and Christ’s College have had a close partnership that dates to the 1990s, and many Christ’s College students have graduated from Geneva. With the establishment of the 2+2 Program, there is now an even greater opportunity for students from Christ’s College to earn a Geneva degree.

Through the program, students complete two years at Christ’s College, and then transfer to Geneva for their final two years to complete a bachelor’s degree. Approved majors for the 2+2 Program are: Biblical Studies, Business, Communication, Criminal Justice, English, History, Human Services, Missions, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Sports Management, Student Ministry and Writing.

To be admitted, students must earn a 2.5 GPA or higher at Christ’s College and have a 71 from the internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 525 from the paper-based TOEFL. However, English as a Second Language courses are available for students whose TOEFL scores are below the requirements.

Grants and scholarships for Christ’s College students are also available. Students transferring from Christ’s College are eligible to receive a grant worth 30% of the current tuition rate. In addition, Geneva will also provide a 40% tuition grant for up to two Christ’s College students. Plus, students with a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible for Geneva’s $10,000-a-year Tower Scholarship for transfer students. Students who qualify for both the Christ’s College Grant and the Tower Scholarship will receive the higher of the two awards.

To apply for the fall term and priority registration, an application for admission to Geneva must be filed by the previous April 1, but students can apply as late as May 31. For the spring term, the application must be filed by the previous October 1, though students may apply as late as November 30.

Christ’s College students who are interested in the 2+2 Program should contact Anne Lyle from Christ’s College at annlyle@cct.edu.tw or Jillian Moomaw from Geneva College at jgmoomaw@geneva.edu.
