Baseball Exhausts Norwich University, 15-3

Fort Pierce, FL – Geneva exhausted Norwich University 15-3 accumulating 17 team hits Tuesday Morning. The win raises Geneva’s overall record 4-4, and senior pitcher Drew Nichols (New Wilmington, PA/Wilmington) record to 1-1.

Nichols struck out nine batters while only giving up seven hits in six innings of work. He silenced Norwich’s bats in the second inning with three straight strikes out with batters swinging.

Senior JC Ackerman (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian) went four for four at the plate batting in three runs.

Senior Aaron Witman’s (Greencastle, PA/Shalom Christian Academy) two hits earned five RBIs in the offense explosion.

Senior Tanner Propst (Chambersburg, PA/Cumberland Valley Christian) finished the game on the mound for the Golden Tornadoes with one strike out.

Geneva heads back to campus to prepare to host conference foe Grove City on Saturday, March 19 in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
