Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva softball opened up the 2016 season going 5-3 in Fort Myers, Florida. Senior catcher Taylor Yarletts (New Castle, PA / Mohawk) led the team at the plate hitting .625. Yarletts set a program record reaching base 14 consecutive times. She had 10 hits in the week while collecting eight walks and had seven RBIs and seven runs. For her work, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference tabbed her as the league’s Softball Hitter of the week.
