Adult Degree Programs Adds Online Bachelor’s in Public Relations

The Geneva College Adult Degree Programs is now offering a fully online Bachelor of Professional Studies in Public Relations. Students pursuing this degree prepare for gainful employment in public relations, advertising, promotions or communications.  

Those interested may apply now, and courses for the major begin in August of 2016.

Geneva’s public relations program includes study of biblical values in public relations, crisis management, understanding the marketplace and consumers, and graphic and digital communication. In addition, Geneva students have extensive opportunities to network with industry professionals through membership in the college’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

Qualified public relations professionals who can manage channels of communication and foster positive public relationships for individuals and organizations are in demand in the workforce. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for public relations professionals is projected to increase between six and seven percent by 2024.

Specific career opportunities include, but are not limited to, working as a communication manager, public relations coordinator, social media strategist and media spokesperson.

Geneva ′s Adult Degree Programs offers bachelor’s degrees in an accelerated format designed for busy adults. Students pursuing an online bachelor’s degree in public relation can complete Geneva’s online public relations degree program in as few as 16 months.
