The Geneva men and women’s track and field teams were scheduled to be at Mount Union on Friday and Saturday, April 15-16 but weather forced the meet to be held on Friday and Sunday. Since Geneva does not compete on Sundays, only a handful of throwers visiting Mount Union during the Friday's events. Sarah Foy (Rockwood, PA / Rockwood Area) placed 17 of 24 in the women's hammer throw (33.37m). Rebekah Rupert (Greenville, PA / Greenville) placed 5 of 26 in the women’s javelin throw (30.89m). Oliva Kumher (Mount Jewett, PA / Kane High School) finished 8 of 26 in the women's javelin throw (28.66m).
In men's action, Isaac Barringer (Delta, OH / Toledo Christian) placed 18 of 23 in the hammer throw (33.96m). Peter Taylor (Stratham, NH / Portsmouth Christian) placed 10 of 16 in the men's javelin.
Saturday, April 16 the whole men and women's teams will be back in action at Westminster's invitational in New Wilmington, PA starting at 10 a.m.
