Fourth Place Finish at Bethany for Women’s Track and Field

Bethany, WV – The Geneva women’s track and field team traveled to Bethany College on Saturday, April 2 to compete in the Bethany Invitational finishing fourth among nine other competitors.

Sophomore Jessica Kelosky (Fombell, PA / Riverside) opened up events for Geneva with her first place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.80. She also competed in the first place finishing 4X100 meter relay along with sophomore Nicole Bartoletta (Monaca, PA / Central Valley), sophomore Sarah Klein (Columbus, IN / Columbus East), and sophomore Kailee Loose (Beaver, PA / Beaver) with a time of 49.99.

In the field, junior Morgan Peaco (Zelienople, PA / Seneca Valley) jumped a 1.47m (4’8”) high jump landing her in third place. Freshmen Justice Newland (Lebanon, PA / Lebanon) also came in third as she jumped 3.05m (10’0”). Junior Sarah Foy (Rockwood, PA / Rockwood Area) had a day with her two events as well. Foy came in first with her 11.21m (36’7”) throw in the shot put, however she was not done. She also came in second in the Discus throw with her 33.08m (108’5”) throw.

The women’s track and field team will compete again Friday, April 8 at Mount Union for the John Homon Open.
