Geneva College is pleased to announce the addition of Daniel Dieter as the new marketing communication manager in Public Relations. Dieter is responsible for development of print and electronic news and information, and managing projects and communication workflow to support programs and departments across campus.

Dieter comes to Geneva with 25 years of corporate experience in digital marketing, advertising, PR, communications, website management, and video writing and producing. His career spans the life sciences, retail, professional services, advertising, non-profit, and education sectors. He most recently served as an Instructor at Slippery Rock University’s English as a Second Language Center.

His previous experience includes global managerial responsibilities in marketing communications and digital marketing with Medrad, Bayer Healthcare, Zoll Medical, and The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS), among other companies.

"Dan comes to Geneva with a wealth of skills creating strategies and developing effective marketing and communication programs in private industry. During that time, he’s also had a love of higher education and a love of the Lord that makes him a perfect fit for this position," says Director of Marketing Services & Public Relations Cheryl Johnston. “We’re glad to welcome him to Geneva College.”

Dieter is an ordained ruling elder (inactive) of the New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he taught high school and adult Christian Education classes for 15 years. He is currently serving as facilitator of the Community Engagement Team at Gateway EPC, a church plant that meets on the campus of Slippery Rock University.

He graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1991 with a bachelor′s degree in Communications and received his master of arts degree in English from Youngstown State University in 1998. This fall, he will begin doctoral work at Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Communication Media and Instructional Technology program.
