Geneva Men’s Soccer Predicted Third Among PAC

Beaver Falls, PA – On Thursday, August 18 the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) released the 2016 PAC Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Poll predicting the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes to place third among league competition. Last season, the Geneva finished with a 13-5-4 overall record while earning a 6-6-1 record in the PAC.

Featured players to watch included Beaver County Christian School’s junior forward Abel Carleton (Darlington, Pa. / BCCS) and junior defender Gib McCracken (Beaver Falls, Pa. / BCCS) along with senior midfielder Jonathan Shoaf (Virginia Beach, VA/Norfolk Christian Academy).

Carleton led Geneva’s scoring in 2016 with eight goals and three assists. McCracken netted five goals and assisted in five. Shoaf tallied two goals and three assists. All three each scored a game winner for the Golden Tornadoes.

Geneva opens play for 2016 on Friday, September 2 hosting the Nate Ferraco Classic facing Juniata at 4 p.m.
