Geneva Volleyball Tabbed Third in PAC Coaches’ Preseason Poll

Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva Women’s Volleyball was tabbed third in 2016 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Preseason Poll with two first place votes. The Golden Tornadoes finished the 2015 season recording 26-9, 15-3 in the PAC, finishing third in the conference.

Senior Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic), junior Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton), senior McKala King (Uniontown, OH/Lake) and junior Marissa Naples (Cortland, OH/Lakeview) were all highlighted as players to watch in the upcoming season.

Dickson was highlighted after leading the defense for the Golden Tornadoes in 2015 with 523 digs. Hughes led Geneva’s offense last season with 331 kills and 30 blocks. King earned 306 digs and 34 service aces. Naples finished her sophomore campaign with 206 kills, 460 assists and 52 total blocks.

Geneva Women’s Volleyball team kick-off the 2016 season at home on Thursday, September 1 against Notre Dame at 6 p.m.
