Fredonia & Weather hand 2-1 Loss to Geneva Men’s Soccer

soccer

Fredonia, NY – Geneva and Fredonia’s men’s soccer game was called due to weather after 73:10 minutes of action. The 2-1 early final moves the Golden Tornadoes overall record to 2-3-1, while remaining 0-0 in the President’s Athletic Conference.

Fredonia scored first in the 26th minute of the game before Geneva’s Abel Carlton (Darlington, PA/Beaver County Christian School) was able to score his sixth goal of the season in the 37th minute.

An offside call would eliminate Carlton’s second goal would have given the Golden Tornadoes the lead.

Fredonia found the back of Geneva’s net again before the halftime. The officials called the game early due to impending weather alerts handing Geneva the loss.

Geneva returns to action on Wednesday, September 21 at 7 p.m. when they will host the La Roche College in non-conference action.
